Eduarts®' Ode to the Olympics
Part Two: Jason and the Argonauts
SPECIAL PUBLIC PERFORMANCE in The Ocean View Court at the Hong Kong Cyberport Arcade!
Like any typical Greek hero, Jason's mission is dangerous and full of perilous journeys, monsters and impossible tasks.
In order to take his rightful place on the throne which his evil uncle Pelias has stolen, he accepts the quest to find the mythical Golden Fleece.
Jason gathers a large group of brave soldiers, including the legendary Hercules, founder of the Olympic Games. Together, they become known as the Argonauts, after their ship Argo and set sail towards the island of Colchis, on which the Golden Fleece is guarded by the Sleepless Dragon.
Along the way, Jason and the Argonauts have to battle Harpies (winged creatures with the heads of women), giant crashing rocks, and seeds that sprout into warriors...
To round off a summer of Olympics, join us on an epic adventure of courage and endurance, and bring your brains and your brawn for the battles ahead!
Post-performance Closing Ceremony – Parents, join your children in a round of interactive games to celebrate the closing of the Olympic Games 2008.
(Hint: make sure you keep up to date with the winning countries and their achievements at the Olympics...)

- Enrolment: Maximum 25 students per session
- Ages: 6-12 years
- Enrolment on a first-come-first-served basis. If the course is over-subscribed, auditions will be held as basis of acceptance.
- Children who are accepted will then be auditioned for different parts in the show. Some group/choral work may be involved.

What is the Eduarts® Word Wrap Chorus™?
This is 'wrapping' with a difference! By combining English words from poetry and prose with the rhythm and dynamics and patterns of classical music, our students embark on a journey of imaginative play with the sound of words. They learn to properly articulate, speak in wonderfully fun rhythms, work as a team and learn about classical music all at the same time.
The Word Wrap Chorus™ performed on stage with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta in 2006 at the City Hall Concert Hall. This summer, we have been invited to perform by the Hong Kong Cyberport to the general public!
Celebrate the Olympics All Around the World!
The Word Wrap Chorus™ is going to embark on a whirlwind tour of the Olympic Games by exploring a wide variety of sporting events and just what kind of skills and qualities Olympians need to win the gold medal.
Everyone knows about events like the high jump, diving and weight lifting; but what about some of the more unusual events that almost made it into the Olympic arena, like long distance knitting or tomato hurling?
Our students will get a chance to write their own poetry to be included in the one-off performance. Who knows, there may even be a medal or two to be won...
